Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Renewa mobile application (the “App”), operated by an individual developer based in the United Arab Emirates (“Renewa”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What Renewa is

Renewa is a tool that helps you track documents and their renewal or expiry dates, and sends you reminders before they lapse. Renewa is an organisational aid only.

Renewa does not renew documents for you, does not contact any government authority on your behalf, and is not affiliated with any government body. Acting on a reminder — actually renewing a visa, Emirates ID, Mulkiya, Ejari, insurance, passport, or any other document — is always your responsibility.

2. Reminders are not guarantees

We work hard to send accurate, timely reminders, but you are responsible for the dates and details you enter, and for meeting your own deadlines.

You agree that:

• Reminders depend on the information you enter being correct.
• Reminders may be delayed or fail to arrive for reasons outside our control (for example device settings, network issues, email filtering, or service outages).
• Renewa is not liable for any fine, penalty, lapse, loss, or consequence resulting from a missed renewal or an inaccurate or undelivered reminder.

Do not rely on Renewa as your only safeguard for critical deadlines.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Let us know promptly at privacy@renewa.ae if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the documents, details, and other content you add to the App (“Your Content”). You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display Your Content so the App can work for you (for example, storing an uploaded document and showing it back to you).

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to add any content you upload — including, where relevant, the consent of other household members or staff whose document details you enter.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content you have no right to upload
• Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the App's security or operation
• Misuse, copy, or attempt to reverse-engineer the App beyond what the law allows

6. Service availability

We aim to keep the App available and working, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we do not promise the App will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renewa and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any fine, penalty, or loss arising from a lapsed document or missed deadline. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time from within the App. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date, and where appropriate notify you in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
