Privacy Policy

Renewa ("we", "us") helps a household organizer track documents and renewals for their family, domestic staff, vehicles, and property. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you provide

• Account details — the email address you use to sign in.
• Household & members — the names and types (family, staff, vehicle, property) you add, plus optional notes or nationality.
• Documents — the document type, issue and expiry dates, reference numbers you enter, and any photos or scans you upload.
• Staff financial details — for domestic staff, the optional salary, salary day, and employment start date used for budgeting and end-of-service estimates. Stored under your account (Supabase, isolated per household); never shared or sold.

Information collected automatically

• Device push token — if you enable push notifications, so we can deliver reminders to your device.
• Standard server and security logs generated by our providers to operate and protect the service (for example, authentication and access logs). We do not use analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use your information

We use your data only to provide Renewa: to store your records, show your dashboard, and send renewal reminders within the lead times you choose, and, only when you request it, extract document details from a selected photo for your review. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

Where your data is stored and who processes it

Your data is hosted on Supabase (database, authentication, and private file storage). Reminder emails are sent through Resend, push notifications through Expo’s push service, and document photos are processed by OpenAI only when you choose Scan & auto-fill and confirm the consent prompt. These providers process data on our behalf solely to run Renewa.

Document photos and storage

Uploaded photos and scans are kept in private storage that is isolated per household and accessed only through short-lived signed links generated for you on demand. They are never made public.

If you choose Scan & auto-fill, the selected photo is sent to OpenAI only after you confirm the consent prompt. Renewa configures the request not to store response application state. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default, but its standard abuse-monitoring logs may retain API content for up to 30 days. You can decline and enter every field manually.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers above to operate Renewa, or where required by law. We require these providers to protect your data consistently with this policy and applicable law. Within your own household, members may see shared household records.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and each household’s data is isolated by row-level security so one household cannot read another’s. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

• Turn email or push reminders on or off at any time in Settings.
• View, edit, or delete your members and documents in the app.
• Request deletion of your account and its data by contacting us.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete a record or your account, the associated data is removed from our active systems.

Children

Renewa is intended for adults managing a household. It is not directed at children, though an organizer may store records about family members of any age.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
